365 Days Project

The idea is to do 365 daily self portraits. I thought I'd give it a shot. My primary goal is to do this without being too narcissistic. Which sounds pretty stupid. But what the heck, let's see how far this goes. Here's the set. As of today, there are three pictures. I'm off to a rousing start.

THE KOALA AND THE LIZARD

I've never posted an Internet joke before, but this one made me laugh. Thanks to Duane for sending it to me.

A koala is sitting up in a gum tree... smoking a joint when a little lizard walks past and looks up and says, "Hey Koala ! What are you doing?"

The koala says: "Smoking a joint, come up and have some."

So the little lizard climbs up and sits next to the koala and they have a few joints. After a while the little lizard says his mouth is 'dry' and is going to get a drink from the river. But the little lizard is so stoned that he leans too far over and falls into the river.

A crocodile sees this and swims over to the little lizard and helps him to the side, then asks the little lizard:

"What's the matter with you?"

The little lizard explains to the crocodile that he was sitting smoking a joint with the koala in the tree, got too stoned and then fell into the river while taking a drink.

The crocodile says he has to check this out and walks into the rain forest, finds the tree where the koala is sitting finishing a joint, and he looks up and says "Hey you!"

So the koala looks down at him and says:

"Shiiiiiiiiiiit dude... how much water did you drink?!!"

It's foolproof

Picked this up off one of the news services today:

"Our policy, when it's followed correctly, is foolproof," said CVS spokesman Mike DeAngelis. "But if there's a lack of execution, that's where issues arise. "

In other words, your policy always works fine until a fool gets involved. Which is kinda sorta always the case.

"So we've enhanced the policies and procedures in order to make sure that they are followed."

Until a fool gets involved.

Geez.

Folkston Funnel on Youtube

Since my "other camera" has the video function, and I wasn't in position to take a nice photograph, I decided to tape one of the trains blasting through Folkston, GA when I was there in August. Click here for the 30 second video. And make sure you have the volume turned up. Hee Hee. BTW, there are other neat shots from Folkston on youtube.

BTW, this is my first video posted on youtube. It's actually pretty easy to watch 'em and uploading is not that bad. Not as elegant and simple as Flickr, but OK. Don't expect lots of videos though.
